I had a very very interesting (not to mention rare wtf) occurence earlier and I absolutely have to blog about it LOL..
I was really hungry as I skipped lunch today, and as I was also in a rush, I thought of grabbing Subway (the sandwich, not the train lol) for dinner. So I charge ahead to the Subway in 1U.
I was looking around while waiting for my turn, and then I noticed one of the staff behind the counter saw me and he shyly looked away.
In these kind of situations normally I would think I'm being too perasan, therefore I dismissed the thought. But but but, I noticed him sneaking glances at me quite a number of times so I couldn't help it but to peek at him too..
Then it was my turn. I told the other staff my choice of bread and filling, and this staff proceeded to give me an extra slice of cheese and then winked at me. I was like, "whoa, this has to be my lucky day!"
Then I moved on to the vege section, which is where the guy who peek at me earlier was stationed at.
After I've told him the veges that I want in my sandwich, this guy kept staring at me while putting together my sandwich in slow motion. This is when I noticed that he is actually quite cute :p
Then he tried to make small talk, starting by asking me whether do I want more veges. But as he was so soft-spoken and does not really know English, I couldn't hear and understand him.
This led to many awkward staring moments between us and he kept smiling so sheepishly and shy, he looked so cute there & then that I couldn't help it but blushed! *shy*
While I'm paying, he then asked me where I work and what I work as. But again due to communication barrier, there were more awkward silence moments where we both just stare at each other and smile LOL..
It was a really brief encounter as I walked away after I've paid. However the whole thing was kinda sweet, and I've not felt this shy & playful for quite awhile already hehe..
To this cute foreign Subway guy, thank you for this memorable one-off encounter :)
